Record Journey TP (2026)

A captivating collection of short stories by Ryoichiro Kezuka that explores the quiet, powerful intersections of music, memory, and everyday life. At the heart of these stories is a young woman working at a small record store in Tokyo. Each story introduces a new visitor to the shop—each with a unique past, a specific record in mind, and an emotional thread waiting to be uncovered. As the needle drops, so do the walls between strangers, revealing bittersweet moments, long-lost connections, and the smooth healing of sound.

Enjoy stories that move the needle, and not just because a record is spinning. Unravel journeys connected by music, beginning with a record shop in the heart of Tokyo. The stories expand far beyond the record shop nestled between Tokyo’s busy streets, all connected by music’s unexpected power to shape lives. A small store becomes an impromptu haven for a famous band passing through on tour; a clandestine pirate radio signal reaches someone living under quiet oppression; and the very voices behind that radio are forced to flee, discovering new lands, and new sounds, along the way. Each tale stands alone yet harmonizes with the others, creating a layered exploration of how music travels, transforms, and brings people together.
