Punisher Epic Collection: The Punisher Strikes

Description

The classic stories that defined the Punisher! When the mob killed his family, Frank Castle went to war. But before he became the scourge of the underworld, the Punisher set his sights on a certain world-famous wall-crawler — on behalf of the maniacal Jackal! Witness Frank’s earliest encounters with Spider-Man — during which Tarantula, Nightcrawler, the Hitman, Cloak & Dagger and the Kingpin of Crime all find themselves in the line of fire! For the Punisher, Captain America’s shield is target practice — but when Frank meets Daredevil, vigilante ideologies clash and a rivalry for the ages begins! Plus: In his earliest solo tales, Frank’s relentless war on crime begins in earnest COLLECTING: Amazing Spider-Man (1963) #129, 134-135, 161-162, 174-175, 201-202; Amazing Spider-Man Annual (1964) #15; Giant-Size Spider-Man (1974) #4; Captain America (1968) #241; Daredevil (1964) #183-184; Peter Parker, the Spectacular Spider-Man (1976) #81-83; material from Marvel Preview (1975) #2, Marvel Super Action (1976) #1 Written by: Gerry Conway, Marv Wolfman, Dennis O’Neill, Mike Barr, Roger McKenzie, Frank Miller, Bill Mantlo & Archie Goodwin Penciled by: Ross Andru, Keith Pollard, Frank Miller, Frank Springer, Al Milgrom, Greg LaRocque & Tony DeZuniga
