World is an After-Image HC (MR)

Description

Acclaimed cartoonist Bhanu Pratap (NOW, Cutting Season) delivers the first long form work of his still-ascending career. Pratap seamlessly blends his core obsessions—distortion, abstraction, romance, sex, body horror, isolation, violence, color, humor, and a seductive sense of design and composition—into a thrilling love story about an HR manager and her girlfriend who get sucked into the life of a young man experiencing a terrifying phenomenon that traps him in his apartment. When Brina attempts to visit the man at home after he stops showing up at work, she discovers something way beyond her pay grade. The World Is An After-Image is simultaneously both the most vividly accessible work of Pratap’s career, while also remaining true to his distinctively haunting and romantic artistic vision.
